How to prepare for your Visa on Arrival in Belarus
Foreign visitors who are citizens of the designated countries are allowed to enter Belarus without a visa through the Minsk National Airport. However, flights departing to and from Russian airports are not permitted for the visa on arrival.
The allowed length of stay in Belarus is up to 30 days, with mandatory registration for stays exceeding 5 days in length. Tourists must also depart from Minsk Airport. It is not possible to depart Belarus by train. There is no limit to how many times you may use the visa on arrival program.
The visa fee is free, but all travellers need to buy travel insurance at the airport which is 1.5 – 2 euros per day of your stay. Once arriving at the airport you simply line up at immigration, provide your insurance papers, receive your stamp, and welcome to Belarus!
During the COVID-19 pandemic you will need to also provide a negative PCR test within 72 hours.
Future potential with Visa on Arrival in Belarus
There are further talks that the government Belarus are planning to extend the visa free access to 10 days, introduce an e-Visa, and to allow other checkpoints around the country to accept visa on arrivals.
