
Pyongyang Spring Trade Fair 2020 Postponed Indefinitely

The largest international trade fair held in Pyongyang was originally scheduled on May 11th to 15th, then later rescheduled to May 25th to 29th with the final decision just coming through today regarding the event be postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19.
The Pyongyang Spring Trade Fair hosts more than 350 booths with companies from various countries such as Russia, China, Cuba, Indonesia, Australia, Pakistan, Syria, Poland, and Thailand offering products such as cleaning products, foodstuffs, home electronics, portable devices, medicine, alcohol and clothing.
The Chongjin Spring Trade Fair scheduled to take place this month from April 20th to 24th in the DPRK’s third-largest city located in North Hamgyong province is also expected to be cancelled due to the virus.
The Pyongyang Autumn Trade Fair is expected to take place during September of 2020 with hopes of the virus being well under control and the Korean borders reopening for foreign visitors.
