Where Should YPT Go in 2025 - The Results
Every year YPT do a poll on where we should go in the next year, as in new destinations and such, and every year when we get the results we act upon them.
Well 2025 was no different with us again running a very successful and indeed popular poll. Well the results are now in with the next move on our part being to act upon them!
Where should YPT go in 2024?
In last years vote the resounding success with regards to what region we should expand in was West Africa, something we have adhered to with tours to Ghana among other places added to our repertoire.
When it came to specific new tours there were a number of big hitters, with the overall winner being Chechnya, which has since been added, with a Caribbean Least Visited being in second place. This is something we are very much working on as we speak. Next in line were the Central African Republic, Chad and Rojava all of which we now offer.
Which region should YPT go in 2025?
For 2025 we split things into three categories with number one again being which region we should go to. This was won by the Indian Subcontinent closely followed by Central and West Africa, with a land based Eurasian Tour close behind – old hats at YPT might remember our Eurasian Adventure Tour.
This has given us very much food for thought, with us now looking at what options there are to feed the hunger of our Pioneers.

Which Countries/Areas should YPT go in 2025?
A little more vague than how we did things in 2024 this category went further down into sub-regions, or actual tours that we might be able offer with the results again being very interesting and the top 10 listed here.
In number 1 by quite a long shot was the Trans-Siberian Railway, which again fits perfectly with the high score that “Eurasian” got in the previous section. This was followed by Sikkim of India and once again Madagascar, a place that always ranks high on peoples to do list.
These two alongside expansions into Kurdistan are now being very much looked into by YPT!

Should We Have More?
The last and perhaps most interesting section was also a little more abstract with us asking what kind of tours people wanted more of. Again while the results were interesting, they also fit well with other results.
In top spot came multi-country tours, such as our Least Visited Countries Tour for example, with us already having some exciting plans up our sleeves.
In second place was Dark Tourism/War Tours, with us again looking for further places where we can expand into this genre with. Currently we have at least a few ideas that we are working on.
And next? Train Tours! This is particularly interesting as Eurasian/Trans-Siberian ranked so high in he first two votes that this pretty much spells out at least one tour YPT need to work on. Interestingly we already have our Sri Lanka Train Tour which is currently selling like hot cakes. North Korea reopening notwithstanding we’d also love to see Moscow to Pyongyang (VisitTheDPRK.org) return.
And of course we have at least a few ideas that we are currently working on that are just not quite ready to share just yet, at least not with our envious competitors.

In Conclusion
Firstly we would like to thank our Pioneers for voting this (last) year. We really do take what you say into consideration and it is a he part of how we decide on destinations this year at least even style of tour that we offer.
Obviously planning takes time and many might not be seen until 2026, but at YPT we are not only just always looking to the future, but also at how we can grow and offer more to our customers.
Until the next vote at least, we get to work….
